APO meeting March 25, 1953

President Swenson opened the meeting at 7:30 p.m. extending the welcome to prospective pledges, Roland Gravel and Don Hansen, following which  Michael Jablonka gave a brief talk on APO’s history, principles and aims for the benefit of the guests next on the program was a selection of APO songs led by Charlie Lincoln.  Following the songs to films were shown the first on the new back pressure and arm lift method of artificial respirationon which Mr. bone gave some interesting details.  The second film golf with Camp Chesterfield, Council can’t of the Hampshire-Franklin Council, showing all of the details of camp life in.Bill Whitmore accompanied the film with a running commentary.

The open part of the meetings and closed with an informal get-together of members and guests.  The second half of the meeting consisted of a business meeting.  Bill Whitmore Dave Houston and Charlie Lincoln were nominated as definite delegates to the APO Springfield conference.minutes of the business meeting and the treasures report were given jointly by Dave Houston.  The treasures report was unchanged from that of March 18 with six dollars cash on hand.

Historian Howie Mason reported on the condition of our present files and emphasize the necessity of writing a comprehensive history bringing the files up to date.

Bill Whitmore chairman of the nominations committee, preface the nomination with a warning that new members must be acquired to ensure the maintenance of our required minimum of 25 after the 1953 members graduate.

Presidents once and adjourned the meeting at 9:30 p.m. with the announcement that the election of the chapter offices will help take place April 8 at 7 p.m., with nominations open until that time.
